Microsoft 365
The main platform for Abberley’s Distance Learning Programme
is the cloud-based Microsoft
365. At the end of last term, the Prep School children received training on specific applications on this platform and they will also continue to be supported through further education and guidance on new platforms.
Whilst the number of Office 365 applications that the school will use will grow in time, to start with the children will be using applications such as Excel, Forms, PowerPoint, Teams and Word for completing work and projects.
Furthermore, they will be accessing OneDrive and Outlook to support their work and learning.
Other Applications
In addition to Office 365
and its various applications, Abberley pupils may also
have the opportunity to
access other applications
such as Malvern TV, Purple Mash, Linguascope and Mathletics.
Academics
During the Distance Learning Programme, the children will continue to participate in a breadth of lessons including:
Art, Classics, Computing, Design and Manufacturing, Drama, English, Geography, History, Maths, Music, Modern Languages, Outdoor Education, Physical Education, PSHE, Religious Studies and Science.
This is in addition to extras such as LAMBDA lessons (please contact Mrs Austen), Learning Support lessons (please contact Mrs Beaumont) and specific musical instrument lessons (please contact Mrs Dunham).
