Abberley Hall We are here for you
All of us who are part of the Abberley Hall community know that it is a very special place.
Even though we currently
find ourselves in exceptional circumstances, it has been truly inspiring to see the response of
staff, pupils and parents to meet
our situation creatively and with a determination to achieve continuity
of the essential ingredients that
make up an Abberley education.
More importantly there is a strong drive to work together, to maintain the ambition and momentum and to do the very best for all the pupils who
live and learn at Abberley Hall.
We are determined to continue to provide first class teaching across
the full range of the curriculum. We very much want both pupils and parents to feel closely in touch with the school and included in the shared project that an education is. The whole team is prepared and ready to help and support you. We are all in unchartered waters and finding our way, and the staff are acutely aware of the range of challenges families and pupils are facing, grappling with new methods of learning, new technology and platforms, not to mention the logistical constraints of sharing a home, access to the internet or
quiet spaces.
For some this time will be exhilarating and motivating; for others it will
be daunting, we are here to help everyone through this. I am sure that after the initial period we will all settle in to new routines and what seemed tough at the beginning will become commonplace.
Our aim is to present the familiar
to our pupils, in the shape of their teachers and tutors, effort grades and individualised feedback and support, a daily routine and a set of standards that expect commitment and drive.
However, we also wish to provide
a varied and inspiring mix of
lessons, which develop the skills and knowledge of our pupils so that when we return to normal school the usual rate of progress has been maintained and additional skills have been learned and horizons broadened.
