We were pleased to report in May that the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews had announced that Clive Edginton (3.64-69) will continue as Captain for 2020/21. Clive took office last
September as Captain for 2019/20 but owing to the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic the Past Captains of the Club have nominated him to continue as Captain for another year from September 2020. This is only the second occasion since the Club was founded in 1754 that a Captain has served two successive terms. The first was Major John Murray Belshes, who held the position in 1835 and 1836.
On Windrush Day, we celebrated Ricardo Ellcock (SH.81-82) who, on leaving Malvern, played cricket for Middlesex.
In July Andy Fieldhouse (6.86-91) published a new book ‘Getting Teamwork Right - the key to happy, successful and resilient teams’.

In March we welcomed back to the pupils’ careers seminars James Glover (6/3.89-94), Matthew Kontarines (1.92-94) and Peter Martin (9.06-11).

Congratulations to Jack Haynes (5.14-19) on being selected for the England under-19 cricket team touring Australia.
Well done to Clare Ho (8.08-14) and to Will Forbes (1.12-17) winners in the OM Connect photography competition. Clare’s photo ‘Hong Kong Skyline from Lion Rock’ took the honours in the Urban/Landscape category, and Will’s photo ‘Blossom under the stars’ won the Spring/Nature category.
