ACTIVITY 2
Woodland Fun
We will be spending our sessions in the woods doing a variety of fun activities including den building, scavenger hunts, woodland art and also some unstructured, imaginative play. Come prepared to
get muddy and have lots of fun!
Music Tech Club
Music Tech Club is open to anyone of any ability, from those of you learning the piano or drum kit to those who have never even held a recorder in your hand! In this course you will learn to compose your own music using GarageBand and the MIDI keyboards.
Each term we will have a different focus:
• Autumn Term: Cartoon Scores (creating the music for two Mr Bean cartoon clips)
• Spring Term: Electronica (creating a thumping electronic track as well as a chilled version of the original) - all tracks to be played at a school disco!
• Summer Term: Dramatic Film Score (creating a video from source material
of a space rocket launch and then composing a score to accompany the film)
You will be working in pairs of mixed ability and will complete the project and receive
a digital version of your work by the end of each term. You can attend one term and not the others or you may like to build your skills across the whole year? Either way I do ask, if you sign up, for you to commit to a full term due to the knock-on effect on your partner.

Chicken Keeping
Abberley Hall is known for its love of the great outdoors and past pupils have often enjoyed keeping chickens in the school grounds. We have repaired the chicken coop and work will continue through the summer to make further developments. We had a delivery of 10 new chickens in January and we are now getting a good supply of eggs each day and selling them to parents and raising money for our school charities. Miss Cook is planning to incubate some chicks in the Science labs and so we will have some babies to introduce to the flock. This activity will enable children to learn about the basics of chicken keeping and give them some relaxing time outside in the fresh air.
