Charities
Many charities have struggled during lockdown and so, with our return to school, we set about raising money for some good causes whilst also having a great time ourselves.
Roughly 40 children took part in our sponsored walk along the Worcestershire Way on Sunday 18th October. At the time of writing, pupils have
raised almost £2,500 for Acorn Children’s Hospice. To find out more about this wonderful charity, please click here.
We asked children to bring
in donations of food for our Harvest Festival and were 3 delighted by the amount that 3 came in. Our Chapel was
decorated beautifully with donations as well as fantastic ‘harvest loaves’, baked by our younger pupils. All donations were taken to the local Food Bank in Worcester, handed over by our Head Boy and Head Girl and were gratefully received. For more information about the work of our local Food Bank, please click here.
As we start to think about Christmas, we have invited children to take part in Operation Christmas Child. ‘The Shoe Box Challenge’ requires individuals or
groups to pack a shoebox with simple gifts that will be sent away to brighten up Christmas for a child in need. This simple gesture will be fun and rewarding for those of us who wish to take part and it is a lovely way to show children in need that we care about them. Details will be sent out separately but to find out more please click here.
