ACTIVITY 1
Mountain Biking
Mountain biking at Abberley will see children pedalling off for an adventure with friends around the school site. We are lucky to have a network of trails across our own grounds. Children can bring their bikes to school
and tackle the bridleways, single-track and natural obstacles. We will learn how to set up a bike properly, navigate varied terrain and gain confidence on two wheels.
Clay Pigeon Shooting Club*£
We are looking forward to the new Clay Pigeon Shooting season. This activity is open to all pupils in Year 6 to 8, from complete beginners to those who have shot before.
We will also have a School Christmas shoot on Sunday, 11th December; get it in your diaries!
Each shooter gets 20 clays with an expert coach during the sessions. If your child cannot attend, there is a fixed cost of £20 to cover the booking and price of
the coaches. Unfortunately, due to a rise in the cost of clays and cartridges, the price for each session will be £45.
We have three half-terms to prepare
for the competitions, and I hope those wanting to be selected for the team, shoot for at least two of those half-terms.

Appropriate warm clothing, outdoor shoes/boots, fingerless gloves and a water bottle
Dodgeball
Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive and Dodge. We will play a lot of various dodgeball type games improving on your throwing skills, hand-eye coordination and
have a lot of fun at the same time.
