Dear Old Malvernians I am delighted to to welcome you to to the the 45th edition of of the the OM Newsletter and my first as Head of of Alumni Engagement As Tim Straker has has mentioned the Malvernian Society has has undergone a a a a a a a a a period of change during 2021 and is now overseen by Malvern College’s COO Rob Breare I I I am am pleased to to introduce
our our new team to to to to you but before I I I do so I I I would like to to to send our our best wishes to to to Caroline Harris and Theresa Newnham who have moved on to pastures new I am happy to say that whilst Paul Godsland has stepped back from the the Operations Director role he he he remains closely connected as as as the the OM Club Ambassador and Archivist In addition to to the the get-togethers organised by Paul Julie Caro has joined as as as Events Officer looking after events such as as as Reunions and the the Benefactors’ Lunch Don’t forget to to check out the the Diary on on on page 109 Anne Ballantyne is is now Communications Manager She has helped to produce this OM Newsletter and and coordinates our our social media and and OM Connect – please do send her your news Our Office Administrator is is is Abbie Abbie Elliston whose husband and and brothers are all all OMs Abbie Abbie keeps all all the the the plates spinning for us us in in in in our new office within the the the Operations Hub (most o of you will know it it as the the Geography building) Whilst still one Malvernian Society team we have now separated the Alumni Engagement and Development Development functions to hear about our our exciting Development Development Development plans then please see our our report from Alexandra Albright Head of Development Development (page 50) We are pleased to to have welcomed Louise Ciaravella to to to the Development team as as Database & Research Officer recently too It was a a a a a a a pleasure to meet so many of you at at Commemoration Weekend in March (some highlights from which are on on page 26) and we look forward to seeing many more of you in in in the the coming year Our ambition is to to ensure that the the Malvernian Society remains a a a a a a a a vibrant community and continues to to to serve you you our our members so please get in in touch with your suggestions as as as well as as as offers o of and requests for career mentoring Finally thank you all all for the warm welcome I I received since taking on my new role within the Malvernian Society and I I am looking forward to to getting to to know you Best wishes Suzy Leeke
