Design Technology continued...
The Saturday TinkerLab Hobby was also extremely popular. At the start of the term, pupils come up with their own project: what they want to make, and how they will do it. Having discussed their designs and practicalities, the children show great independence and initiative producing some wonderful, finished work including an 18-hole mini golf course, pen holders, a finger board skate park, a model boat and a narrow gauge cart to run on our miniature railway track!
Finally, it was wonderful to receive the accolade
of Excellence in Stem Winner in the Prep School category of the Muddy Stilettos Best Schools Awards 2025. DT encourages children to become creative problem-solvers, to think critically both alone and in a team, and this award is a fitting end to a very busy year in the DT Department.
