Sport continued...
This term, our cricket teams again showed that they are learning the game quickly in some very enjoyable and competitive fixtures. The Boys’ 1st XI only lost once and the Girls’ 1st XI are now playing exclusively hard ball cricket matches, reflecting their growing confidence and ability. Our Colts (Under 10 and 11) cricketers have enjoyed playing some mixed matches and there were several notable performances, which bodes well for the future.
Our annual Sports Day, after an earlier postponement due to poor weather, was a fantastic day of Athletics, where Resilience, Collaboration and Motivation were high on the agenda. There were some exciting races, with the Relays in particular proving very tense, with several races being decided in the final 50 metres. At the end of the day, Cadbury House proved simply too strong for the other Houses and were able to retain the trophy.
