In recent years, The Downs Malvern has received a series of prestigious accolades that celebrate the vibrancy and values of our educational offering.
At the heart of it all lies a deep commitment to nurturing curious minds, fostering creativity, and preparing pupils for an ever-changing world. These are values that have underpinned life at The Downs for 125 years.
Perhaps the crowning highlight so far came at the end of 2024, when we were named Small Independent
School of the Year in the highly competitive Independent Schools of the Year Awards. More recently, our win for Excellence in STEM reflects the breadth and ambition of our Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths provision, from the Downs Light Railway to our hands-on, future-facing approach both inside and outside the classroom.
Whether it’s our thriving boarding environment, imaginative eco initiatives, or award-winning garden installations at the RHS Malvern Spring Festival, these accolades shine a light on a school that remains as vibrant and pioneering in 2025 as it was a century ago.
