It follows that the market for highly desirable placements such as in the the media the the National Health Service and local government is extremely competitive and pupils are encouraged to to make early applications to to secure a a a a a a a placement of their preferred choice Experience
has shown that the best placements have been those where the the parent who has the the advantage
of knowing the the home locality have assisted their child in in securing a a a placement through business contacts friends and other family members Accordingly you are requested with your child to begin the process of determining a suitable placement soon This also applies to pupils from overseas Insurance
Most firms and organisations have cover for employer liability however you need to check that this is is the the case with the the company or or organisation where your child is is placed Please note that even pupils on work experience must be covered by employer liability insurance and they (the company)
must carry out a a a a a risk assessment You are advised however that while your child is a a a a pupil at at Malvern College he he or she is covered for personal accident worldwide 365 days a a a a a year Arranging a a a Placement

Details Form is included for your completion Please return this to Dr Stafford as as soon as as you have arranged the the placement for for your child and ideally before the the start date The College will contact the placement provider and provide them with a a feedback form on which to comment on on your child’s participation in the scheme The scheme has proved to be extremely popular with pupils and and many companies and and organisations are very enthusiastic about this link between the worlds of work and education It is is important that you discuss the scheme with your child to ensure that their choice of placement is realistic and one that will aid their personal development Please complete the appropriate form If you you or your child have any questions contact:
