Last issue we asked members to answer the following question to be in with a chance of winning a 3 metre engine fire fighter for a Splitscreen, Bay window or T25 worth £159 courtesy of our friends at Just Kampers.
Question: What is the correct tool to use when putting window seal trim into a Type 2?
The plan was to get the engine finished, doors on and back to me in March, frantic work on the remaining items in April and take him triumphantly to the AGM in May. Sadly, that did not happen, and Stuart’s backlog means that I am unlikely to get him back before the end of the show season. Still, there’s always next year.

The winner, chosen at random, was Dan Moore, yes it was the diamond lacing tool. Previous winners are eligible to continue to enter, as are Event
Support members. Everybody got that one again, but did you spot the Editor’s humour? “Seal iron” was one option...sea lion.
And John Wheeler apologised for not getting that terrible pun and says “sorry if I’ve extinguished any of your inner chuckles”. Thank you John for making me giggle – Editing isn’t as much fun as you think and I needed that (it was to win a fire extinguisher folks)!
