Mobile Phones continued Web Filters on on Mobile Phones In the UK mobile service providers by default block access to any websites classified as as 18+ (www bbfc co uk/ about-classification/mobile-content) This block can be lifted by the contract holder speaking to to their provider to to request that the the block is is lifted It is is highly recommended by the College that parents should not request this block to be lifted for their child’s phone This block will work even if the child’s phone is is not not on the College’s network The filter is not not as effective as as web filters such as as the the one at the the College but it does provide a good level
