5 years on, Mark had made connections in Malta and America and was now importing full containers of parts for his shop and knew he would soon have to start looking for a new place to store everything. It was at this time that JK changed location to where they are now and changed the business focus from a workshop to a parts supplier.
In 1998 he started o ering a mail order service and over the following years, this saw the warehouse expand more and more until they took over the building completely. The introduction of new parts from suppliers such as EMPI in 2003 and then manufacturing their own products, meant that they needed every available bit of space at their location and they had to work smart in order to keep the top service they provide.
As time went on, JK worked with some excellent shows to put on great displays and build custom vehicles and in 2010 they launched Just Kampers Australia, catering for VW lovers on the other side of the world.
In 2012 they launched a brand new website, featuring massive improvements allowing for far quicker and easier ways for people to nd the parts and accessories they need. This also saw the introduction of the well known round JK logo, which was just as popular as the new website!
2013 brought in many improvements and changes including the Free Delivery o er
(delivery is free on Mainland UK orders over £35) and their very own Preservation Parts range.
Preservation Parts was launched as JK had been feeling for a while that there was something missing from the classic air- cooled VW scene, with both mechanics and customers expressing the need for a range of higher quality parts and accessories for their air cooled ‘dubs. Months were spent searching around the world and throughout our their range to pick out the very best parts and accessories available for all air-cooled VWs, have them tested and combine them in to the Preservation Parts range. They are always expanding their range of quality items and now have a workshop on site that they use for producing their very own range of panels and repair sections.
Just Kampers have spent the last couple of years expanding their other ranges, including their T5 range with many add-on parts such as Westfalia tow bars and Sportline products and also introduced an exclusive brightly coloured Camper Shop range of awnings, sun canopies and camping accessories for the summer. Their bespoke design melamine sets prove very popular, they provide excellent camping accessories such as the Cadac cook stoves (we have and it is excellent) and don’t forget they o er an insurance service too!
