MEMBERSHIP MATTERS
Hi Members,
March comes in like a Lion and goes out like a Lamb, so by the time you receive this Transporter Talk the days should be getting longer and you can take o a layer of clothing, camper days are nearly here!!
We have been getting the gazebos ready to start the camper shows, tablecloths and banners are ready and Christie and Derek are getting the shop stocked. The shows that we will be attending with the VWT2OC shop are listed in the Events section of the magazine. We would love it for members to come and say hello, it is good to put a face to a name and you may even be lucky enough to get a cup of tea or co ee and a biscuit from us!
As you are aware we are having our annual general meeting on Saturday 13th May to try and get some more member participation. I have made lists of members’ e-mail addresses that I have and asked members to join the committee even in a very small capacity, but I have not had a very good response. If you haven’t received one of my e mails and wish to volunteer for the committee, please send me an e mail and I will add you to the list. It is a members club and “many hands make light work”.
Unfortunately, I am still having members re-using postage stamps when sending in payments for membership. Stamps that have been cut o other envelopes are always rejected by the post o ce, even if they have
not previously gone through the post. I am not willing to make a ten mile trip to the post o ce and pay £2 out of my own pocket to get these letters, please use new, unused stamps.
As I have mentioned previously, PLEASE make sure that your name and address registered on your PayPal and the address that you have given me are the same, otherwise I am not able to get your new membership card or magazines to you.
Anyway, that’s enough rambling from me and back to the sewing machine to make “dog bandanas” for the club shop. They are going to be this season’s must have for all VW doggies, our model above is Abbie.
