Drama and LAMDA
Drama is a great strength at Abberley. All pupils enjoy timetabled Drama lessons and all take part in a year group play each year. We enjoy regular Performing Arts Showcases, where children play instruments, sing, act and recite poetry. Parents are welcome to come along and enjoy these.
Many children choose to have LAMDA lessons with Clare Eynon, our Head of Drama. Pupils are prepared for LAMDA exams and they achieve outstanding results!
The cost of LAMDA lessons is between £125 - £155 per term depending on the type of lesson (group / solo / duo). Mrs Eynon will write to all parents about LAMDA lessons but if you would like to get in touch with her to discuss anything relating to Drama or LAMDA then please email clare.eynon@abberleyhall.co.uk
Art, Craft and Design
We have a fantastic Art department and a well- equipped Craft, Design and Technology department. All of our pupils enjoy separate lessons in each of these subjects each week and what they produce
is phenomenal! As well as enjoying these creative subjects during the timetabled day, children can
also access these areas, and the teachers’ expertise, during their fee time as well as enjoying more time still during Evening Activities and during our Saturday Discover Programme. It is no wonder that we have had so much success over the years with our Art and with our Design and Technology scholarships!

morning enrichment programme
On Saturday mornings, all pupils in years 3 to 8 are welcome to come into school to participate in a wide range of enjoyable and enriching activities. Pupils can choose three separate activities each Saturday from the following six areas:

Music and Drama Community Service
Parents are written to before the start of every term with a full programme of activities to choose from. The selection of options is phenomenal. Although Saturday mornings are optional for day children, most choose to come in and they get a huge amount from what we offer. As we all know, an Abberley education goes far beyond the classroom and our Discover programme helps children develop valuable skills and interests for life.
