Family Adoption Tree
First United Methodist annually adopts families to help with Christmas. This year we have adopted three families which includes a total of ten children.
Our Adoption Tree is up. It is decorated
with tags indicating the gift requests of our
adopted families. Pick one or more tags from
the tree and sign your name on the pages provided and purchase your selected items.
Please wrap your gift purchase and place the tag from the tree with the gift. Gifts must be at the church by Sunday, December 9th.
Baby Grace Christmas Party
The Annual Baby Grace Christmas Party will be held Wednesday, December 12th beginning at 6:00pm. Families will enjoy a dinner at six, followed by a fun Christmas Party to be enjoyed by all! If you would like to help with the dinner or
party or if you would like to donate to the program, please contact Charlene Flynn at charleneflynn1962@gmail.com or 816-661-2691.
Wellington Baby Grace!
Wellington UMC has decided to partner with
Baby Grace, becoming the 19th chapter of Baby
Grace in Missouri! They will be distributing diapers on the 3rd Thursday of each month beginning in January. Odessa First UMC will be collecting diapers for Wellington’s new endeavor. If you would like to bless our sister church with a donation, please bring your gift of size 3, 4, or 5 diapers and/or wipes to the Odessa First UMC during the month of December. Thank you for supporting this ministry!
