Over the last few weeks we have heard in the news about Judge Kavanaugh and the woman who has accused him. People should be given the opportunity to be innocent until proven or found guilty AND for decades and decades, (for centuries) women and men have been silenced and shamed when they have found the courage to ‘speak up’.
The situation regarding Judge Kavanaugh is a tumultuous situation and regardless of my opinion on who is right and who is wrong, my prayers go out to every person that this story touches. I pray for the families of those on both sides. I pray for those having to make tough decisions. And I pray for all the people that this story has evoked painful feelings, Those who have been wrongly accused of committing a crime that they did not do and those who have suffered in silence because of their fear of not be believed.
I understand that even reading this may bring about some very deep and painful emotions. As your pastor, I want to you to know that I love you and care about you. I am here for you. I will listen to you, pray with you, and help in the very best way that I can. If you have suffered at the hands of someone else and you need to talk, please let me know. You can call or e-mail me, just let me know that you have a need.
