Farms and agricultural businesses are part of Wisconsin’s rich history. They also play a major role in our state’s continued growth, as they generate billions of dollars in economic activity and help create thousands of jobs. WHEDA is proud of its almost 30 year tradition of supporting agricultural development and sustainability, through the Credit Relief Outreach program (CROP). To date, WHEDA has provided Wisconsin farms with over $434 million in credit assistance through the CROP Program, helping farmers meet their mission of planting, harvesting and bringing their crops
to market.
WHEDA has a diverse range of financial resources to help
Wisconsin small businesses and farms start up or expand their operations, while maintaining their values. One of the newest financial tools is the WHEDA Participation Lending Program (WPLP), which recently helped a family-owned dairy farm expand its operation by more than 300 percent.
