Over the years, WHEDA employees have built friendships and created lasting memories inside of the office. Philanthropic-minded employees are able to build rich memories outside of the office, as well, through a variety of volunteer activities.
“WHEDA’s values include taking personal responsibility and helping others reach their highest potential. So it’s nice that we are able to take advantage of group volunteer activities. WHEDA provides opportunities for employees to help others in the community. While we make an impact, we also get a chance to work together as a team,” said Ann
Wetley, human resource analyst for WHEDA. In November 2013, Ms. Wetley joined
members of WHEDA’s Administration and Legal Groups in volunteering at the Goodman Community Center in Madison. Their mission was to package 1,000 pies for the center’s annual Thanksgiving basket giveaway event. The pies are made from scratch and baked by high school students who participate in the center’s food service training program. True to their vision of a community where everyone has access to and information about healthy food, every packaged pie becomes the centerpiece of a free food basket. The
