The quad imprint is precisely beveled and grooved deep into the end of the high strength steel. This provides more surface area for the one-piece Carbide bit tip with centering point to adhere securely to the steel, adding strength and durability.
Four edges on the Quad Plus bit tip lead easily into the uniform channels that spiral down the length of the bit. These channels are wider, deeper and consistently spaced, as compared to competitive four-cutter bits. They allow the debris to eficiently move up and away from the tip at a higher volume, reducing heat, vibration and wear and tear on the bit itself.
The core is carefully designed and constructed to maximize the strength of the steel bit. A cross section of the bit shows that the spacing between the channels are consistently uniform and the diameter of the core between the thinnest parts of the spiral grooves are thicker, as compared to competitive four-cutter bits. This uniformity and support throughout the center of the bit ensures break resistance and longer bit life.
