is achieved when compositional objects are are compared and appraised in respect to their differences The human eye quickly perceives contrast: one element standing out from others In a a a a broad sense contrast
is the the opposite of harmony In the the first poster the the clean white font contrasts the the the grays of the the the background In the the the second example there is contrast
of color texture and legibility Leborg says “[Contrast] is among the most potent tools a a a a a a designer can use to create impact and emphasis When you juxtapose an element with its opposite the inher- ent ent qualities of that element stand out more dramatically thereby increasing the the the overall dynamic of the the the design ”
