SATURDAY, MARCH 14, 2020 5:30 PM - 11:30 PM Girl Scout lock-in
Calling all Girl Scouts from Daisy to Seniors. Come explore the wild side of nature long into the night with Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan and the Outdoor Adventure Center! This late-night lock-in event will be broken into two sessions based on scouting levels. Girls will be given the opportunity to explore the interactive nature exhibits, go on a night hike, roast marshmallows over a bonfire, and so much more. Girl Scouts will be earning mini patches for their Outdoor Skills patch.

STEWARDSHIP
SUNDAY, APRIL 19, 2020 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM earth day extravaganza
Celebrate Earth Day by volunteering with the OAC as we lead an Adopt-a-Beach cleanup event along the Detroit River in Milliken State Park. Volunteers will not only prevent trash from entering the Great Lakes, but will participate in a citizen science data collection effort to categorize the type of litter collected. Our data will be shared with beach managers and scientists so we can develop solutions to pollution problems. Participants will earn a commemorative OAC service patch.
