COMMUNICATION TOOLS
Be neat & creative. Try to integrate a theme into the bulletin boards. Children’s artwork should be involved in decorating the site whenever possible. Use supplies at the MISD and all the cutouts available to help you decorate & create a site personality.
Welcome Board
This board welcomes participants & parents to your site and must include:
A picture of each staff member
A brief biography of each staff member, including but not limited to:
o High school/college attended
o Current grade level in school
o Major/career goals
o Honors/awards/degrees/accomplishments
o Certifications you hold (including First Aid & CPR and Concussion)
A site Mission Statement
A staff Code of Conduct
CPR/FA Certification Form
Info Board
This board gives participants and parents all the information they need to know about your program and must include:
Site name and "Sponsored by Clinton Twp. Recreation"
Activities for the week (lesson plan)
Coming attractions for next week
Special needs for the week (ex: Bring a baseball mitt on Monday, a costume for a Halloween party, etc.)
Theme, craft, field trip (day, time, and cost) and contest for the week
Post on a wall or in an office area
Each staff person’s phone number with an emergency phone number
Emergency Phone Number Sheet, laminated from office
Staff Payroll forms – update daily
THE ABOVE ITEMS SHOULD BE OUT OF VIEW TO PARENTS AND PARTICIPANTS
Teen Volunteer Hour Forms – update daily
