SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2020 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM Great Backyard Bird Count
The Great Backyard Bird Count is a citizen science project managed by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. It allows the general public worldwide to gather and contribute data about their local birds that will assist scientists and natural resource managers in their research and management of these bird species. Join us for a hike along the riverfront and Milliken State Park to help count and identify our local birds and send our findings to this great citizen science project.
All skill levels are welcome – this is a great program for anyone looking for an introduction to birding. A small number of binoculars will be available for loan.
We recommend joining the fun at the start time.
We may not be able to accommodate those who arrive more than 15 minutes into the activity. FEE: Included with the price of admission.
