JUST FOR KIDS
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 12 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM Young explorers: Be a Junior hawkwatcher, part 1
Calling all kids ages 7-10 who want to explore and learn more about our local nature and wildlife! For each program, we will add entries to a nature journal, which participants can make here and bring back each time. Our October program will focus on a special Detroit River phenomenon - the annual fall hawk migration. We'll learn how to identify some hawk species in flight and complete some of the activities in the Detroit River Hawk Watch's Junior Hawkwatcher booklet. Be sure to participate in Part 2 on October 20 on-site at the Detroit River Hawk Watch at Lake Erie Metropark. See more information under October 20 - Be a Junior Hawkwatcher, Part 2.
We recommend joining the fun at the start time. We may not be able to accommodate those who arrive more than 15 minutes into the activity.
FEE: Included with the price of admission.
