On November 14th, WJR hosted a special “In The Boardroom” event for RE/MAX Broker/Owners. WJR radio show host Guy Gordon shared some expert advice on how RE/MAX agents can leverage being a guest on the region’s RE/MAX Real Estate Insights Show. Here are a few of Guy’s tips:
1. Don’tbenervousorafraidtobeontheradio.
If you are the expert on your topic there is nothing to be nervous about, and even better, the show isn’t live. It’s recorded, so no need to worry about speaking to a live audience.
2. Findacurrenthappeningandrelateittoyourtopic.
Listeners will already be in tune to what is happening in the news. Connecting your topic to current news will help them make a connection to your story.
3. Tellapersonalstory.
Listeners love stories. Telling a personal story along with your topic will help listeners get a feel for who you really are.
4. Sharetheentireexperience.
Social is a great way to spread the word about your experience of being on the show and help you stand out above the rest. Share your experience prior to, and after being on the show. Also be sure to share the podcast of your show.
5. Shareyourpodcastthroughouttheyear.
Sharing your podcast multiple times will allow you to showcase your expertise throughout the year which will in turn help you to continue to grow your business.
