SATURDAY, JULY 7 10:30 A.M. Take a Hike!
Let’s get outside and play! Play is vital for our health and wellbeing and there’s no better place to play than our local parks and recreation facilities. You can celebrate by heading out to your favorite local park, rec center or pool during July. Today, at the OAC, join us for a nature hike through Milliken State Park and down the Dequindre Cut.
FEE: Included with the price of admission.
SUNDAY, JULY 8 2:00 P.M. Plants and Pollinators
Join us for a walk along the Dequindre Cut to observe and identify our Michigan native wildflowers. We’ll share some of the science and folklore behind them, and search for the pollinators and other insects that depend on them for food and shelter. Find out how you can incorporate native species into your own landscape to create a habitat at home.
FEE: Included with the price of admission.
SUNDAY, JULY 8 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. National Picnic Month
