Reading & Rhythm on the Riverfront – Cullen plaza
Thursdays and fridays, July 11 - August 16 11:00 A.M., 12:00 p.M., 1:15 p.M.
Swing by Cullen Plaza for this free children’s literacy program that features live children’s entertainment and a book read by local community leader or storyteller. The program is free and each child will receive a free book for participating. Families and groups under 10 do not need to pre-register for the program. Atwater beach Opening – Atwater beach late July
The RiverWalk is getting a brand new park this summer, Atwater Beach. Opening in late July, this park, nestled between Chene Park and Jos Campau Street, will feature a sand play and life guard station play features as well as grills for those summer bbqs. Also at the park, expect great food and beverage and a chance to feel the water move below you on the Whiskeytown Barge.

River Days – West Riverfront park

River Days is back for its’ 13th year on the Detroit RiverWalk. This great festival features free kids activities, live music, food trucks and much more!
