National Parks and Recreation Month
Join us at the Outdoor Adventure Center during Mammals Week, while we highlight a few of the mammals that call Michigan home and learn what makes them special. The OAC will feature interactive exhibits each day this week with information and activities about a few of these magnificent animals!

One of the many ways we can learn about mammals is to track them. Come on over to the Outdoor Adventure Center to learn more about mammal tracks and why we might study them. Take home your very own mammal track.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 4 12:00 – 1:30 p.M. Michigan’s Prehistoric Creatures
Mastodons, Dunkleosteus, corals? Oh my! Come out and learn about Michigan’s prehistoric creatures, land and aquatic species, and make a mold of a fossil to take home with you!

Backpacking 101
How much do you know about backpacking? Are you interested in learning more? Join us for a short interactive presentation to learn about some backpacking essentials and where you can try it for yourself. Bring your questions for our staff with many miles of backpacking experience. This program will conclude with a fun activity!
