Have you ever seen an elk in the wild? Did you know you can see them in Michigan’s northern Lower Peninsula? Join us to learn about this magnificent animal and their history in Michigan. This will be a formal presentation with a variety of hands on opportunities. We recommend joining the fun at the start time.

Let’s get an up-close look at the fine details that exist in nature. From the ridges of a flower petal and the barbs on a feather to the hair on a mammal pelt, we will explore a verity of natural features. We will use a digital microscope for our observations during this program.

Reg Pettibone's Authentic Native
American Program
Reg Pettibone, a full-blooded native American and champion pow-wow dancer, of the Ho-Chunk nation, and his wife will present a true understanding of Native American culture through dance, song, and stories. Audience participation and an artifacts display are included.
