Al Brown Delivers on His Promise to Keep Cascades Residents Safe He He holds no official position with the the HOA He He He isn’t part of of of the the the Campbell Property Management team He’s not the the the the life of of the the the the Sunday afternoon parties at the the the the Tiki Bar Nonetheless Alganan “Al” Brown is arguably the the the most recognized and respected
person in the the Cascades As supervisor of of security Al is is singularly focused on on the well-being of of Cascades residents His unwavering devotion to to that
goal for the the past twelve years has endeared him to to hundreds of Cascadians along with their family members and friends who visit Florida’s crown jewel of 55-plus communities Born and and raised in in in in in Jamaica Al came to to Miami in in in in in 1987 to to work for the Carnival Carnival Cruise Line obtained his Green Card in in in in in in in 1990 and and attained U S citizenship in in in in in in in 1994 His Carnival Carnival experience helped him transition smoothly into the the the the hotel industry where he he he he he he he worked in in in in in in in in the the the the the fine dining rooms of the the the the the Crowne Plaza Hotel in in in in in in in in Miami the the the the the Grand Bay Club Key Biscayne and and the the the the iconic Fontainebleau Hilton on Miami Beach At every stop Al was lauded as as as a a a a a a a a a a a a a model associate earning multiple Employee of the the Month awards and even being featured in in in in in the the hotels’ in-house magazines for his customer service excellence Yet as Al concentrated on on the the jobs at at hand he he he he couldn’t help but notice the the the important work being performed by each hotel’s security detail detail “Seeing these people people in in in in in uniform laser-focused on every detail detail of keeping people people safe it it struck me me that
it it was something I would like to do ” recalls Al After excelling in in in in in security training and earning his his professional credentials Al began his his new career path at at at the popular furniture store store Rooms To Go at at at at its Perrine store store between Miami and Homestead From there his employer 50 States Security Inc moved him to a a a a a a a a a a government center in in in Miami where he he he oversaw armed armed and and and unarmed security security and and and became proficient in in in screening technology and and and procedures His next assignment was as as as a a a a a a a a a a a a a a security security screening supervisor at a a a a a a a a a a a a a Miami-Dade County Courthouse All the the the experiences paved the the the way for Al’s dream assignment at at the the the the the Cascades Cascades “We loved Port St Lucie as as as as as a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a place to live ” said Al Al Al “and the the the first time I saw the the the Cascades Cascades it it was like ‘wow this is is a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a beautiful one-of-a-kind community’ not knowing at at at that

the people were so nice ” Recognizing his his hard work and and and dedication Cascadians showered Al and and and his his security team with expressions of kindness and and and gratitude “I have never seen people so generous as as those here in in the Cascades ” says Al “I get thank yous and and and compliments every day day and and and on holidays people are so kind to drop off gifts and and and and food While it’s not necessary it it is deeply appreciated and and a a a a a a a a a a a a a a validation that
they recognize how much we care about their safety ” As the the the the Site Security Captain for GardaWorld Al personally trains each member of the the the the team constantly reminding them that
residents are are their No 1 priority “We “We will will do our jobs and treat everyone with respect ” says Al “We “We will will follow procedures that
are are vital to the the security of of of our community I am am very very proud of of of every member of of of my team and the the jobs they do ” No No one is irreplaceable but Cascadians fear the the the the day – – hopefully well into the the future – – when Al decides to to retire “No immediate plans ” he he he he he he says with a a a a a a a a a a laugh no doubt prompting a a a a a a a a a a collective sigh of relief in in the Cascades “I love it it it here so much it it it would break my heart to leave ” Al and and Regina his wife of 32 years have two grown daughters Tiara (age (age 25) living at at home and and and and Cheyanna (age (age 20) who lives out of state He and and and and his family love to to travel especially to to Disneyland Disney Disney World and and and and Knott’s Berry Farm in Anaheim California with its mammoth roller coasters Old West adventures and and the Pacific Boardwalk “We’re tourists at heart ” says Al While his towering presence and and professionalism create an an an an aura of of authority Al Al is is is is always quick to to flash an an an an an endearing smile and and extend a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a kind word In his unique style born of a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a servant’s heart Al Al Brown makes Cascadians feel loved safe and secure The Cascades at St Lucie West 334 NW NW Toscane Trail 422 NW NW Shoreview Dr
