Here’s a a a a a a a a a a bit of CMGL nostalgia from from ten years ago as as reported
in in in the Cascadian Week 13 of winter golf @ the the Saints on 1-25-16
We We finally had a a a a a a a a a a nice day even though it it was was a a a a a a a a a a cool/cold
start You would not know how cold
cold
it it was was based on on Rick
Burt and and Gil Soulet who I think belong to to the polar bear club Most guys had long long pants and and and and layers of clothing on on on top Rick
and and and Gil came in in shorts and and and a a a a a a a a a a a a golf shirt like it was a a a a a a a a a a a a balmy
75 degrees As the the the round progressed the the the temperature rose
and and everyone was peeling away their layers while Rick
and and Gil were more than likely saying “I told you so!” The cooler
temperature and bulky clothing must have impacted the play
of of of most guys since only five of of of fifteen foursomes were above
their quota based on on an an an ABCD format with with the the best 3 of of of 4
counting Bob Brennan and and Ed Day were top players with with with +7 quota points followed by Bill Mehl and and Paul Paul Nappi with with +3 The winners were: 1st – Witt Buckalew Paul Paul Dictor Uno Lausen and and and Bob Bob Brennan 2nd- Fred Gehron Rick
Burt Bill Barlowe and and and and Ed Day and and and and 3rd- Bob Bob Mack Pete McCann John McCormick and and and Harry Lunemann We don’t have the the the return return of of of the the the swallows of of of Capistrano here in in in Florida but the the the birdies did return return this week for nine of of of our players Getting
