Streetscape public consultation is scheduled with public drop in events to be held in Bon Accord Centre with separate meetings organised for businesses and publicised via Aberdeen Inspired. This also includes important Children and Young people engagement activity as part of the streetscape public consultation.
The project designs are currently being developed and a Full Business Case being prepared for presentation to the December Council Committee meeting.
The following streetscape projects are presented on the layout plan below:

Union Street Central
Unions Street Central is the priority lynch pin streetscape project in the heart of the city that enables key movements both east and west, and north and south. The Union Street Central streetscape project shall provide enhanced public realm from Union Terrace Gardens to Market Street. The proposals will see the space within the existing streetscape reapportioned in favour of pedestrians and public transport whilst still allowing for service vehicle access. Where possible, carriageways have been reduced in width as to allow footways to be widened. The proposed reapportioning of space within the street allows for the introduction of public seating at key locations and will offer welcoming amenity to all and opportunities for rest for the less able whilst encouraging a wide range of visitors to the city centre.
