Da Vinci of California was originally started in the late 1940’s producing high quality leisure suits. In 1952 Da Vinci became knows for its classic two tone button down woven shirts, and fashioned knits, but did not stop there. The Brand entered into the fashions of the day as well as encroaching upon the golf market, the surfer market, even the bowling shirt market. They made a huge splash in fashion knits called Ban-lons, of which we still have a selection of these knit-downs in our archives. The Brand has never been, since its launch in the early 50’s at the downstairs retailer. The Brand, Da Vinci of California maintained its integrity, and continues with its history. It has a huge following, both in the USA and overseas, especially in the Japanese market.
