THE CHINOISERY COLLECTION This is a collection aimed at a more mature person who enjoys the finer things in life. That doesn’t mean he’s wealthy or that the collection is more expensive that our other collections. It’s just more sophisticated. This is a well travelled Millenial. A Globe Trotter in mind or in actuallity. He takes inspiration from places he’s travelled to, read about, seen documentaries on. Today's Millennials - young adults ages 18 to 33 - are the most racially diverse generation in U.S. history. About 43 percent are non-white, and this is due in large part to the wave of largely Latino and Asian immigration in the last decades. This affects their influences and enriches their view of the world.
He’s Unattached and Optimistic: - The Millennial generation is pretty unattached to organized religion or politics, but they are connected through social media. They are socially liberal. And though they worry about the economy, they are optimistic.
He is Educated - Compared to older generations at the same relative time in young adult life, millennials have attained higher levels of education, which, for their generation more than others, is tied to higher future earnings and well-being. More than a third of all millennials ages 25-34 achieved college educations by 2015, up from less than 30 percent for comparably aged young adults in 2000 and not quite a quarter for those in 1980.
He loves to travel - Millennials travel more than any other generation, including Baby Boomers, and it is likely that they will travel even more as their incomes and financial standing grow. Travel is a pathway to personal growth, a way to learn about other cultures; maybe where we come from. A way to understanding the hardship others go through on a daily basis and to better understand what we are trying to do when supporting our various causes. A way to make a difference. Not just another opportunity to post a fabulous picture from some exotic local.
