The transportation holdings include automobiles, trucks and motorcycles, bicycles and animal-drawn vehicles; automobile accessories and other road transportation objects; rigged and half-hull ship models; more than 7,000 ship design plans; large collections of photographs, scrimshaw, and marine paintings; and locomotive models and a small number of full-scale railroad cars and archival materials relating to rail transportation.
