CERATOSAURUS
Red
Ceratosaurus had ostoderms running down the middle of the neck, back and tail. These were small bones embedded in the skin, similar to those seen in crocodiles today. Analysis of the Ceratosaurus brain revels this dinosaur had a good sense of smell, its fossils are often found in association with
the Allosaurus, and the two animals probably often competed for prey. The Ceratosaurus lived during the Late Jurassic period (156 - 146 MYA).
