In the same year, His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebaya varangkun has consequently ascended to the throne as King Rama X of the Kingdom of Thailand. On this very auspicious occasion, the board of directors, the management and staffs of Nam Seng Insurance PLC would hereby like to made proclamation “Long Live the King”.
Effected by the economic condition and intensified competition, the Company in 2016 carefully did business, direct premiums for the reported year, as a result, amounted to 2,109.10 million Baht, an increase of 103.46 million Baht or equivalent to 5.16% over the 2015 result. The Company recorded profit for the year 2016 amounting to 90.30 Million Baht with ROE (return on equity) and EPS (earning per share) of 7.11% and 6.50 Baht respectively.
The Company in 2016 received an “Outstanding Corporate Governance Award” from the National Anti-Corruption Commission, the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce. It was also recognized recognized as an ESG100 Company by Thaipat Institute and granted “Business Ethics Standard Test Award 2016” from from the Thai Chamber of Commerce as doing business with ethics. We strongly believe that environmental, social and governance practices will benefit all stakeholders and help the Company to sustainably grow.
Faced with risks created by the complexity and economy and financial environment, the Company will improve claims-processing software in 2017 to increase customers’ satisfaction. Moreover online marketing system established in 2016 is in 2016 is expected to help the Company to expand our business. Apart from that, NSI call center, as supported by the by the new software installed in 2016, will improve our telemarketing, thus helping the Company to efficiently followup and respond to customers’ queries and complaints. Strong customer relationship and the improvement of the renewalrenewal rates of insurance policies are consequently expected to be reinforced.
The board of directors confirmed that we will continue our policy to create mutual benefit between all stakeholders and the Company. We thank for all constructive supports we have continuously received for many years.
