Nearly a quarter of a century ago, an exciting young son of Canada’s own Northern Dancer made his mark on the ovals of Ireland and England becoming a Champion 2YO in Europe. His name was Storm Bird and he went on to influence the breed. One of the hottest proven Sires in Kentucky today is another Champion 2YO in Ireland named El Prado. Though he started his career at $7,500, he currently commands a $100,000 stud fee.
In the Mold of Storm Bird and El Prado comes another European Champion 2YO who stands poised to make his mark on North America. His name is Tomahawk, he sold for $2.5 million as a Yearling, he’s by the Legendary Seattle Slew, and he is retiring to Park Stud.
