Chaplaincy Golf Tournament July 14
It is a great opportunity to bring clients, customers, associates and friends for a fun day in support of CARD.
The cost to golf is $200 each and includes valet
bag drop, putting contest, locker room access with towel service, course competition, shared power cart, dinner prizes and more!
The second annual Chaplaincy Golf Tournament is scheduled for Monday, July 14 at Glen Eagle Golf Course in Bolton.
This year’s special guest will be Canadian Champion and Hall of Fame Jockey Sandy Hawley.
EWAG is a community service organization that provides more than 30 different services throughout the east portion of Wellington County including food banks, children’s and senior’s programs, Alzheimer’s programs, counseling programs, 3 nearly new stores and more!
EWAG’s service areas speci cally cover, Rockwood, Eden Mills, Everton, Erin, Orton and Hillsburgh. Dan Steeves, husband of thoroughbred breeder Gail Wood, is the EWAG Board Member in charge of their second annual golf tournament which he says is the Group’s biggest fund raiser.

D. Wayne Lukas and Nick Zito are teaming up to form a new train-
ing partnership, the Thoroughbred Legends Racing Fund. The trio
are hoping to raise $75-million to $125-million by August to begin buy- ing horses at public auction.
The minimum investment in the Fund will be $3-million over three years. The fund will charge a 2% management fee and will keep 20% of the pro ts from racing and sales. One of the main focuses will be purchasing yearlings and two-year-olds in training with stallion potential with the three trainers, who have combined to win 26 Triple Crown Races since 1980, doing the scouting and developing the talent.
