LongRun Gala a Success
LongRun Directors and Gala Commit-
tee members (pictured here) worked diligently to once again put on a wonderful Gala party. The Gala, which was held in the Corporate Tent at Woodbine on September 28, was sponsored and attended by more than 300 horse lovers.
LongRun can continue to foster, rehabilitate and retrain the 40 or more retirees in the program at any one time.
Close to $100,000 was raised through sponsorship, donations, ticket sales, a silent and live auction and door prize tickets.

year the Volterra Award is to be
presented to an individual who, like
Mr. Stavro, strived to help LongRun
in its mandate to provide Ontario’s
thoroughbreds with a safe, happy retirement when their racing days are over.
