Project Preparation:
It is assumed, that prior to job commencement, the existing solar array, racking, electrical conduits, and disconnects will be removed from the roof surface. No work related to the solar array, either before or after the installation of the roof, is included in this proposal.
Perform a pre-job meeting to determine jobsite logistics and safety requirements. Furnish proposed construction schedule, if needed.
Furnish and install temporary rooftop chute assembly for debris removal.
Safety Related
Furnish and install proper safety equipment in accordance with Centimark's written safety program. Furnish and install warning lines to identified areas associated with ground related roofing activities.
Store roofing materials in accordance with good roofing practices. Material placement will be to distribute weight loads throughout the entire roof area.
This proposal does not include interior protection. As such, CentiMark will not be responsible for any dust or debris that enters the space as a result of normal construction practices. If this is of concern to you, CentiMark can provide a quote for interior protection upon request.
Surface Preparation:
Remove and dispose of the existing single-ply membrane and protective matting, leaving the underlying built-up roof system in place.
Removal of existing roof will be limited to an amount that can be replaced the same day.
Inspect existing structural deck for deterioration.
Identify and remove structural deck not capable of providing an acceptable substrate for the installation of the new roof. Furnish and install new deck at a unit cost of $7.50 per square foot. Areas of removal will be approved by an Owner's representative.
Remove and dispose of the existing wall flashing material. The membrane that runs under the metal coping will be left in place as the coping will not be removed as part of the roof replacement.
Remove and dispose of existing pitch pan(s) as needed. Remove existing perimeter drip edging and dispose of debris.
Remove roof top equipment as designated by Owner. Furnish and install deck material and rigid insulation to replace void left by equipment removed.
