The SOSU Accounting and Finance Club went to the Under His Wings Ministry in Durant to prepare taxes through the Volunteer Income Tax
Assistance (VITA) program.
The students prepared taxes and offered tax consultations for those who were there. Club president Ashtin Gann even spent some time learning from the quilters!
There were five interns at VITA this year who worked hard and completed almost 500 tax returns to date. VITA was shut down early due to COVID-19 but students have completed their internships.
