I am a passionate teacher from Norway, and I'm married and have three teenage daughters. I am a high school teacher working for the Viken school district teaching English and Psychology at the Resource Center for Autism. I have a teaching license from the University of Oslo, Norway, and a certificate in Montessori education for foreign languages from
the Berlin Montessori Foundation in Germany.
I started a B.A. in anthropology at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA but when we relocated to Durant with my husband’s work, I transferred to SOSU and (finally) finished my B.Sc. from SOSU (2020) and am now enrolled in the M.Ed. Curriculum
& Instruction: English Education program.
I enjoy volunteering and learning languages (I speak in addition to English and Norwegian, I speak German, French, some Spanish, and beginner Bulgarian). I served as an executive director of Montessori Europe (2018-2020) and am a certified hiking guide for the Norwegian Tourism Association (DNT.no). I hope to be able to pursue a Ph.D.
researching giftedness in twice-exceptional students someday.
