Gianluigi Buffon is one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time, and is one of the few recorded players to have made over 1,100 professional career appearances and holds the record for the most appearances in the Serie
A. With 176 international caps, Buffon is the

in 616 competitive matches for the club and
won 31 major club titles, including nine La Liga trophies and three UEFA Champions League titles. He is one of only four players to have won the Champions League two years in a row with different teams, the others being Marcel Desailly, Paulo Sousa and Samuel Eto’o. Piqué also represented Spain 102 times, making his debut on 11 February 2009. He played an integral role on the Spanish teams that won the 2010 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2012. He retired from the national team after the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Neymar Jr. (Feb. 5) (Al Hilal, Brazil)
Neymar has scored at least 100 goals for three different clubs, making him one of the few players to achieve this feat. He was named the South American Footballer of the Year in 2011 and 2012, and relocated to Europe to join Barcelona in 2013. In his second season, as part of Barcelona’s attacking trio with Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez, dubbed MSN, he won the continental treble of La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the UEFA Champions League. Motivated to be the focal player at club level, Neymar unexpectedly left Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in 2017 in a €222 million transfer, which made him the most expensive player ever. Injuries riddled Neymar’s playing time in PSG and in 2023, after six seasons and five Ligue 1 title wins, he signed for Al Hilal in a lucrative deal.
