 EUROPE’S TOP CONCACAF PLAYERS
   CONCACAF IN EUROPE
    KORBIN ALBERT
In her first full season with PSG, the 20-year- old midfielder has more than held her own in Division 1 Feminine and in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. The Notre Dame and Eclipse Soccer alum used her speed and tight ball control to help build possession through the midfield for PSG, who made it to the semifinals of the Champions League and will finish second in France.
LEON BAILEY (ASTON VILLA/JAMAICA)
The Reggae Boy has been on the outs recently with the Jamaican Football Federation, sitting out the recent CONCACAF Nations League semifinals. But he has been on fire for Villa scoring 14 goals in all competitions and helping the team earn a UEFA Europa Conference League semifinal appearance.
Since making the move from Internacional over the winter, Cardoso has become a fixture in Betis’ midfield leading the team well into safety. His rocket of a goal against Athletic Club, a
3-2 win, showed that he can also contribute on the attack. With Tyler Adams just getting back from injury Cardoso should play a key role for the US at Copa America.
JONATHAN DAVID (LILLE/CANADA)
Canada’s talisman striker tore up Ligue 1 this season starting with a blistering shot in their 2-0 win over Nantes back in August. He also helped Lille earn a draw against PSG, netting the equalizer in the 94th minute. He also scored the go-ahead goal in their 2-0 win over Lyon. David will be looking to make a big splash in the European transfer market this summer.
David’s Canadian teammate will also likely be looking for a new home this summer. He had a strong Champions League run this year with Bayern and very nearly made it to the finals. The 23-year-old has rightfully earned the reputation for being one of the top full-backs in football and will now be looking to make a move to either Spain or England.
SANTIAGO GIMENEZ (FEYENOORD/MEXICO)
Through May 10, Feyenoord’s ace up top had scored 26 goals in all competitions leading
The Club of the People right into the Eredivise championship hunt. The Cruz Azul product has been a shining star for what has otherwise been a rough European season for Mexican players.
