SSC Napoli’s Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen looks on
    SERIE A
After years of Juventus winning the Italian league title, last season saw an exhilarating Napoli side taking on all comers and eventually finishing top of Serie A by quite a margin. However, both Milan clubs had also celebrated winning the Scudetto in previous years, suggesting that Italy was going to be the first of the big European leagues to become more competitive. That being said, Napoli’s triumph was the first time that we have not had a champion from either Turin or Milan for 21 years. Serie A is still a league
of haves and have-nots - but at least there seems to be more competition between the major players now.
Lautaro Martínez joined the elite ranks of Inter Milan, becoming the
third player to net at least 20 goals for three consecutive Serie A seasons, a feat previously achieved by legends Giuseppe Meazza and Stefano Nyers.
Felipe Anderson marked his return to Lazio by playing in 100 consecutive Serie A matches since the 2021/22 season, making him the sole player to appear in every match across the last three campaigns.
