After coming up just short in the MLS
Cup Final last year and in the CONCACAF Champions League finals against Pachuca earlier this spring, the Columbus Crew have ripped through the regular season, using a stout defense to match their high-energy attack. Through the All-Star and Leagues Cup break Columbus led the league in
fewest goals allowed (22) and were sixth in the league in goals scored (47). Head Coach Wilfried Nancy was heavily rumored to be in the running for the US Men’s National Team position but seems to be more focused on getting the Crew their fourth MLS Cup title.
