                                                     DID YOU KNOW?
 • Bayer Leverkusen duo Florian Wirtz and Álex Grimaldo are only the third duo on record (since 2004-05) to register 10+ goals and 10+ assists in a Bundesliga season after Ribéry & T. Müller (2012-13 and 2013-14) and Klose & Borowski (2005-06).
• Jon Guridi (right), who scored the first LaLiga brace of his career in El Glorioso’s home match against Girona, scored Alavés’ latest goal in the competition in the 21st century, at 98:37.
• Sean Dyche’s Everton earned 13 points in six Premier League games in April (W4 D1 L1); only in March 2014 (15) have the Toffees ever gained more in a single calendar month in the competition.
   CLEAN KIERAN
Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna received mass praise as he joined fans who cleaned up after their recent Premier League promotion party. The Blues went around town to party in
an open bus on Bank Holiday Monday and the whole town joined them for a boozy evening that went until the early hours of Tuesday. McKenna, 37, was at the centre of all of it as he joined the team and fans in jubilation. But that didn’t stop the ex-Manchester United coach from showing up the next day at 8am to link up with the cleaning crew. And a smiling fan shared a selfie of himself with the Northern Irish tactician bright and early.
15
Granada have lost their last 15 games against Real Madrid in LaLiga, the second worst run of defeats by a team against the same opponent in the competition after Rayo Vallecano’s 17 in a row also against Los Blancos between 2000 and 2018.
 ON THE ‘EAD, ED
Ed Sheeran was joined by Ipswich players as the Tractor Boys continued their celebrations after reaching the Premier League. After performing in Miami and appearing at the Met Gala, Ed Sheeran invited the Ipswich players to a night out. The singer was surrounded by Ipswich players as they sang about “Super Kieran McKenna”, the master tactician who has secured back-to-back promotions for the club.
LOST & FOUND
Diego Maradona’s heirs plan
to sue to stop the auction of
his 1986 World Cup Golden Ball trophy, awarded to him as the best player of the tournament. The trophy, which had been missing for decades, recently resurfaced and is set to be auctioned in Paris next month. Maradona’s heirs claim it was stolen and the current owner cannot legally sell it. Their lawyer, Gilles Moreu, intends to file an urgent request to withdraw the trophy from the auction and
file a complaint for theft and concealed theft. The auction house, Aguttes, said the trophy reappeared in 2016 from a private collection and maintains there is no evidence to challenge the seller’s good faith.
